Recipe: Double Choc Bliss Balls

July 18, 2018

I am a completely unashamed lover of chocolate, and lover of health so why not marry them together to have a nourishing little chocolate treat?!  Enter Double Choc Bliss Balls! I am a solution focused kinda person ;)

How amazing are bliss balls, right?!

The ultimate chocolate lovers / healthy-chick treat!

This recipe takes 5 minutes to whip up in the food processor - you can eat them straight away but they are better once set - so give them 30 minutes or so in the fridge.

What you need.

  • 3/4 cup Almonds

  • 1/3 cup Pitted Dates (chopped roughly)

  • 2 tbsps Cacao Powder (heaped)

  • 2 tbsps Maple Syrup

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1/2 cup Cacao Nibs

  • 2 tbsps Skim Milk

  • 3 tbsps Unsweetened Shredded Coconut (Optional for coating)

What you Do.

  1. Add the cacao powder, maple syrup, chopped dates and vanilla extract into the blender. Until well combined.

  2. Then add milk, almonds and cacao nibs. Until desired texture forms. (May need to add in a a little extra milk. Try 1 tbsp at a time)

  3. Once all combined. Roll into balls (14), and coat with shredded coconut (optional). Tip- wet hands slightly with water to avoid batter sticking to hands.

  4. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to set. Serve & Enjoy!

Remember they are still a treat but certainly will provide your body with more nourishment than many other chocolate treats!

Happy eating! xx
